Terms of Service

1. Service Agreement

These terms govern the appliance repair services provided by The Machine Solution ("we", "us", or "our"). By scheduling a service call, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Calls

A service call fee of $89 ($99 for water heaters, $79 for disposals and microwaves) is charged for the technician's visit and diagnosis. This fee is applied to the total repair cost if you proceed with the repair. If you decline repair after diagnosis, the service call fee is still owed.

3. Estimates

After diagnosis, we provide a written estimate for the repair. You must approve the estimate before any work begins. No work is performed without your explicit approval.

4. Warranty

All repairs are backed by a 90-day warranty covering parts and labor. If the same appliance fails for the same issue within 90 days, we will repair it at no charge. The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper installation
  • Issues unrelated to the original repair
  • Problems caused by power surges or acts of nature

5. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept cash, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and debit cards. Invoices are sent electronically to the email address you provide.

6. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us at least 4 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 4 hours' notice may be subject to a $50 fee.

7. Liability

We are not liable for damage to appliances that are beyond repair, pre-existing conditions not disclosed at the time of service, or issues arising from improper use after repair. Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair performed.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the appliance and problem
  • Ensure the work area is accessible and safe
  • Provide a valid email address for appointment confirmations and invoices
  • Be present or have someone 18+ present during the service appointment

9. Email Communications

By providing your email address, you consent to receive transactional emails including appointment confirmations, reminders, invoices, and service follow-ups. Marketing emails are sent only with your explicit opt-in consent.

10. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on our website.
